Twitter juliette tocino smithJuliette Tocino-Smith has an MSc. in Medical Anthropology from University College London, as well as a B.A. in International Relations and Anthropology from the University of Sussex.

Born into a multicultural family of travellers and migrants, she turned at a young age to books and music to understand what it means to feel, exist and belong. She has lived in several non-Western societies and has experienced first-hand the obstacles associated with migration and the liminal stage it involves.

In 2017, she conducted research on how middle-class rural migrants to New Delhi constructed meaning and their identities in their everyday lives and looked into the therapeutic benefits of prayer and ritual. Today, she works as an independent researcher, translator, and psychology writer/editor.

A Personal Message From Juliette

If you would like to collaborate on a project do feel to send me a message on the contact page of this website. I am also currently trying to set up a platform providing resources and support to people facing psychological difficulties linked to social change, cultural integration, identity and migration.
